Bibi-Ka-Maqbara is a beautiful tomb dedicated to Dilras Banu Begum, the wife of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb (1658-1707 AD). The tomb is believed to have been built in commemoration of Prince Azam's mother between 1651 and 1661 AD. As you can see from the sculpture carved at the entrance of the wing, this tomb was compiled and edited by model maker Ataura and architect Hanspat Rai. The mausoleum is called the "Decan Taj" because it was inspired by the world-famous Taj Mahal in Agra (built between 1631 and 1648 AD).
