History

Located around 40 km away from Champawat, serene Pancheshwar lies at the confluence of rivers Kali and Saryu and is located on the Indo-Nepal border. It is famous for the sacred Chaumu temple, where an annual fair is held and a dip at the confluence of the rivers is considered to be very sacred. The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Shiva, who appears here in the form of a protector of animals.
