At a distance of 1 km from Auli is the artificial lake Auli in the Chamoli district of Uttrakhand. It is one of the highest artificial lakes in the world lying at an altitude of 3000 meters, next to the Cliff Top Club. This lake was developed by the government to create artificial snow in new ski areas in Auli when snowfall is low. The water from the lake is used to power the snow cannons located along the ski slopes. It helps to provide a good ski surface for extending the ski season. This picturesque lake, commonly referred to as the world's finest man-made lake, is definitely a must-see on an Auli trip.

Gurso Bugyal, also known as Gorson Bugyal, is a magnificent meadow encircled by a thick forest of conifers and oaks about 3 kilometres from Auli. The high-altitude grassland, which is 3,056 metres above sea level, is a dazzling green carpet in the summer and a wonderful paradise blanketed in snow in the winter. The peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Dron Parvat are magnificently visible from this walk, which is suitable for novices. The last ropeway tower in Auli is about 1.5 kilometres distant from this location.
