History

Operated and maintained by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, the Auli Ski resort provides all the equipment and state-of-the-art equipment that skiers need. To save time for skiers in climbing back again and save energy, there is a chairlift and ski lift, which is the longest ski lift in the country. The slope with a length of 3km at an altitude of 2519-3049m is attractive. The entire resort ski area can be divided into upper and lower fields and is always kept in good condition by a snowplow. The slopes of Auli are covered with oak and cedar forests. GMVN also offers courses for beginners and professionals in Auli which includes accommodation, meals, ski equipment costs, and instruction. December marks the beginning of the ski season and one can witness the start of several ski festivals in addition to national ski championships that end in March. The participants are required to carry heavy woolen clothing with them for the harsh cold conditions here.
