Devi Talab Mandir, one of the state's oldest temples, is a renowned religious destination in Jalandhar. The temple's beginnings may be traced back to religious texts, which claim that the right breast of Devi Sati fell on the site where it now stands. Many foreign attackers have attempted to conquer this temple over the years, but they have always failed.
Two of the deities at the temple are almost two hundred years old: Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali. Thousands of devotees of Goddess Kali travel to the temple every December to attend the renowned Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan.
