History

Kamal Haasan appeared in the Kamal Haasan-directed film "Guna," which was shot at the Devil's Kitchen Caves. The team of the movie may have caused some harm to the caves inside. However, it wasn't until the premiere of the film that this location became a popular tourist destination in Kodaikanal. Because of this, the Guna Caves were renamed following the premiere of the film.As a result of peculiar rock formations caused by soil erosion from cliffs, the caves were developed. The term "Devil's Kitchen" is said to arise from the presence of bats in the caves between the rocks. There are also a variety of wild animals and birds to be seen here. The Pandavas are also said to have spent some time at this location.Despite the fact that the location is ideal for taking photographs and creating lasting memories, many people are hesitant to visit the lace because of the steep drop and the related dangers. Since of this, visitors can now only see portions of the cave system from a distance because the deep narrow ravines that once existed here have been shut off. To get to the cave and hilltop, guests must walk 400 meters and ten minutes from the cave's main entrance. This provides an excellent photo opportunity.
