The statue is located in the Isha Complex, where the famous Diana Ringa Temple is located. The cast steel bust of Lord Shiva represents 112 ways to achieve moksha (liberation) according to yoga culture. 112 feet high, it symbolizes the 112 chakras of the human body. When the sculpture was placed, a lingam called Yogeshwar Ringa was also consecrated by the ritual of 'Prana Pratishtha' and placed in front of the statue. Ringa does not have a heart chakra (Anahata) and is a symbol of a "heartless yogi". In other words, it signifies that one is beyond the emotional stage. However, Ringa has five chakras. Root chakra (Muradara), Sakral chakra (Svadishtana), Solar Plexus chakra (Manipula), Lalinks chakra (Bishuddi), Third eye chakra (Ajna). Each has 6 dimensions. The Isha Foundations plans to build three more such statues in Varanasi, Mumbai, and Delhi.
