Japan Buddha Sangha and the Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha collaborated to build the Dhauli Shanti Stupa in 1972, or the Peace Pagoda. Built on the site of the epic battle of the Kalinga War, the Dhauli Stupa honours the Kalinga's aim of peace.
