History

The church is also known for its crucifix, which stands tall at 16 feet and considered to be the tallest in Asia. The transparent roof is designed to provide the building with ample lighting throughout the day.Upholding the Naga culture, this tourist attraction in Kohima, is known for its interiors that are inspired by the lifestyle of the people. In fact, the campus also has four gates in four directions.The Tomb of Bishop Abraham Alangimattathil: Visit the tomb of the first Bishop of Nagaland, Rt.Rev.Abraham Alangimattathil and know about his immense contribution to the state of Nagaland. His dedication to the religion he represented and his life story as a priest and missionary is very inspiring.Perpetual Adoration and intercessory prayers: Attend the prayers that are held between 8 am to 4 pm in the crypt of the church. Adoration service is also conducted in front of the Blessed Sacrament, which is Jesus in the form of bread.
