Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura are all represented at the Don Bosco Museum, which opened in 2003 and is privately owned by the Salesian order of the Catholic Church. Three institutions in one: an educational museum; a research and publication centre; and an archive. The museum serves as a cultural and historical treasure trove for North-East India because to its extensive collection of items scattered across numerous halls.The Museum is housed in a seven-story, hexagonal-shaped edifice that's full with art and culture. Fiberglass figures, paintings, artefacts and more may be found in 17 galleries set according to the highest international level. This site features a photo gallery, a photo gallery, a photo gallery of agricultural products and a gallery of musical instruments. In addition, the museum's upper floor features a performance including some of the region's rarest dance styles.For the benefit of the general public, students, and researchers alike, the centre also conducts research, produces publications, and maintains a well-stocked library. To better understand the many aspects of India's north-eastern area, the North Eastern Institute for Research in Anthropology (NEIRA) serves as a centre for research. About 110,473 books on North East Indian studies and culture are now housed at the library. The Museum's skywalk offers visitors a bird's-eye perspective of Shillong's skyline.
