History

Bishop Waterfalls is a three-layered fall framed by the waterway Umshyrphi. Minister Falls is very well known as the falling water appears as though a white lace, streaming down from the slope. It is viewed as probably the most elevated cascade in India. The Beadon Falls is known as the twin sibling of Bishop Falls as both surge down similar steep incline along Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills inside close to one another and can be seen from the perspective across a profound gorge at Mawlai. The Beadon falls are long and narrow, cascading from a height of roughly 100 feet into the Umiam River, unlike other cascades in Shillong. Its stream is deterred by dim shaded rocks and weighty green vegetation on its way. However the falls are incoherent, it is stunningly lovely. With emerald green slopes, enormous rough developments, and forested with various assortments of vegetation, the cascade gives staggering perspectives which makes it a well known outing spot for the two local people and travelers. Attempt to stay away from morning visits to the cascades as the climate may be murky. There is a hydroelectric force to be reckoned with too works at the foundation of Bishop Fall. There is no motorable street to arrive at these falls. Just one can see the cascades from the Beadon-Bishop View Point close to Mawlai.
