Thibaw point is the perfect place to enjoy the full overview of the Ratnagiri district. The place is known to provide a wonderful view to the Arabian Sea, Bhatye Bridge, Someshwar Creek and Pawas thus attracting lots of tourists and picnickers from all quarters and it is definitely one of the most important places to visit in Ratnagiri

Thibaw point is also the place which houses the Thibaw Palace, the place where the king of Myanmar was put to exile during British rule.

Maintained by the Archaeological Department, this museum is famous for being the ancestral house of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. He was born here and the place has now been converted to a museum.

The museum has many exhibits in terms of paintings and photographs. To get a good knowledge about the freedom struggles, the museum should be visited.
