History
Evidence found at this location indicates that Lothal was an industrial site during this period. Archaeologists have found semi-precious stones, metals, statues, beads, weapons, ornaments, seals, and workshops at this excavation site. Another important discovery made here was the discovery of a shipyard used to transport weapons and other items made in Lothal to other civilizations that existed at the time. There are unicorn seals, crafts, inscriptions, necklaces, terracotta seals, fishhooks, bracelets, shells, ivory, copper, bronze objects, and beautifully painted pottery. The fact that two people were buried together in a brick tomb was one of the fascinating discoveries at Lothal during the excavation. There is also a historical record of the lost city of Harappa here.
