Agra fort is one of the most significant Mughal architectures and houses several remarkable sections exclusively designed for every need of the emperors. Khaas Mahal is made entirely of marble by Shah Jahan and reflects pure Islamic-Persian character. It is believed to be the emperor's bedroom (aramgrah). Musamman Burj, built by Shah Jahan is a beautiful octagonal tower with an open pavilion. Here Shah Jahan lay on the bed of death, staring at Taj. Glass Palace( Sheesh Mahal) is the best piece of art here with its walls lined with intricate work of glass mosaic. Another highlight here is the remarkable water storage technology used in the fort. To the right of Sheesh Mahal is Diwan E Khaas, a private audience room. The marble columns are studded with semi-precious stones with attractive floral patterns. DiwanEAm was used to house the famous Peacock Throne, which was brought to the Red Fort when Shah Jahan moved his capital to Delhi. The Moti Masjid or Moti Masjid is the most beautiful building in Agra Fort. King Akbar called this fortress his home during his reign until 1605.
