History

It is situated on the west side of Jodhpur, the lake extends about 8 km. It was built in 1872 during the reign of Maharaja Pratap Singh. After that two rulers of Jodhpur Bhim Singh and Takhsingh contributed to the restoration and development of the lake. A portion of the Siddhanta end of Kaylana Lake is also called Takhtsagar.
