Panna Meena ka Kund is believed as 1000 years old step well. Constructed in the time of Meena Dynasty, the water of this well is used in most of the Hindu ceremonies. It was designed by a Brahmin and been built in an ancient way to harvest water during the rainy seasonThere is a famous story of Rajputs and Meena warriors connected to this step well. Rajputs and Meena warriors and Rajputs used to fight for Amer crown. One day Meena warriors kept all their weapons near the well to take a dip in the water to perform a puja. Rajputs have considered this as an advantage and killed all the Meena warriors and claimed the crown. And this historic place was named after the Meena king, Panna Meena.
