In the eighteenth century, Diwan Rao Kriparam built Galta, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site. Diwan Rao Kriparam served as Sawai Jai Singh II of Jaipur's courtier.According to legend, the saint Galav rishi spent his entire life looking for the truth and spent a number of years performing "Tapasya" in Galtaji. After viewing his penance, the deity appeared before him and bestowed lots of water upon his site of worship. It has a galta kund, which is a holy water tank, and the water in the tank never evaporates. It is said that taking a bath in this famed galta kund will atone for all of your sins.A shrine bearing his name was built in this location in his honor. One of the noteworthy facts about this Galta temple is that Goswami Tulsidas authored a section of the Ram Charit Manas, often known as the "Ramayana," here. Galta Kund is referred to as a pilgrimage site since it is said to possess therapeutic qualities.
