The Bharatpur Palace has a museum called Kamra Khas that houses a number of relics, including more than 581 stone carvings, 861 local arts and crafts, and ancient scriptures depicting typical Bharatapur art and culture. The museum also has an art gallery displaying specimens of miniature paintings on the leaves of the box, mica, and old stone paper. The palace itself was built in stages by various Maharajas, a perfect blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The various apartments in the palace have different patterns of floor tiles, decorated with exquisite designs. There are many sections in the fort with various types of rifles and miniature cannons called "chadras" used in the 18th century. An elegant and impressive building, the Bharatpur Palace is one of the best places in Bharatpur.
