The Fateh Jung ka Gumbad, or Tomb of Fateh Jung, is situated in the centre of the city of Alwar. The mausoleum was built in honour of Fateh Jung, a court official in Shah Jahan's court. He was an Alwar Khanzada royal relative and a Pathan warrior. The mausoleum is a great example of Indo-Islamic architecture from that time period because of its lovely fusion of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. The sandstone structure dominates the city and is tall. Due of its closeness, it can be seen from a number of locations throughout Alwar, including the platform of the railroad station. The building includes multiple carved minarets and five floors. A massive dome is perched above the enormous mausoleum. On the first story of the structure, calligraphic writings are engraved on the ceilings and walls in relief work.
