The main attraction of Ajmer for Jains is the prominent Soni ji kee Nasia Digambar Temple, or the two-story Subara Nanagara Hall behind the temple, well known as the museum. Both the temple and the museum were built and are still owned by the Soni family of Ajmer. In many Jain temples, in the life of each (God)Tirthankara, you can see the painting or figurative expression of "five auspicious events" (Pancha Kalyanak): conception, birth, abandonment, enlightenment, and Redemption (Moksha or Jain). This temple design is the most elaborate sculptural expression of the popular mythological story of the first God of Jains. The temple dedicated to Lord Rishabhanatha or Adinatha is based on an ancient manuscript by Acharya Jinasena.
