History

About 8 kilometers from Sonmarg in the Ganderbal region of Jammu & Kashmir, at a height of 13,750 feet, is the gorgeous alpine lake known as Gadisar Lake. Clouds, mountains, and the surrounding area are wonderfully mirrored in the lakes' bluish-green waters because they are so pristinely transparent. Gadisar, which is well named since it is teeming with brown trout, is known as "the lake of fishes" in the local tongue. This is a superb chance for fishermen and fishing aficionados to enjoy fishing. The well-known Great Lakes Trek, which starts with the Gadsar Pass, includes Gadsar Lake as part of its itinerary. This is a lovely scene to shoot if you enjoy doing so.
