History

The BabiFaiz Gate built in 1737 by Nawabusadik is also widely known as the Salarganj Gate. The gate is made of brick with a stone base. The gate consists of two arched openings at both ends of the passage. The sides of the outer arches are decorated with panels and arched indentations, and the inner arches are covered with red sandstone. The Urdu inscription on the pointed arch of the gate says Bab - i - Faiz Nawab Sadiq 1129, so the gate is known as the Bab -i - Faiz Gate, which means "door of charity."
