History

A magnificent park named Cole Park is located in the charming city of Tezpur. Mr. Cole, an Assam commissioner, developed the park in 1906, and it was later restored by M.G.V.K Bhanu in 1996. The park was recently renamed Chitralekha Udayan Park, after a well-known character from the Aniruddha Usha love story. This park is noted for its magnificent visual splendour, which is set among misty hillocks, green terrains, and turquoise lakes. A tranquil lake may be found within the park, where boating is permitted.
