History

One of the Buddhist monasteries in the state of Arunachal Pradesh is called Gompa Temple. Within the boundaries of Itanagar city sits the Gompa Temple. The distance between the temple and Itanagar's downtown is around 4 kilometres. The Gompa, a premier Buddhist institution, is located just above the Nehru Museum. It is a beautiful location for a vantage point over Itanagar. Visitors are welcomed by the vibrant gates. The golden-carved stupa on the hills in the background is quite lovely. The top provides visitors with a 360-degree vista. Monks are not amused with photography, which is permitted inside the monastery. They often give individuals sermons about living in the world. Under the Banyan tree, there is a sizable statue of the Buddha. One might fasten the flags to the banyan tree and make a prayer to the deity. The Gompa also imparts Buddhist teachings to young nuns and monks.
