History

In ancient times, the city was covered by dense forests. Its residents have remained independent in the past. It wasn't until 1526 AD. that the area was immune to outside influence. It wasn't until Akbar established his rule in Delhi in 1556 that outside forces told them to explore the area. After Akbar's death, the area was liberated again and a department called Hazaribagh was established in 1831 as an administrative headquarters. Hazari Bagh was declared a camp in 1790. At that time it was part of the Ramgarh district. In 1834 it was declared the district headquarters. It was a camp until 1884. During the British rule, many British people lived in Hazari Bagh, and they used to hunt in its forests.
