History

Vadodara or Vadodara in Gujarat is the third-largest city after Ahmedabad and Surat. Vadodara was originally called Vadapradaka, which means a village among banyan trees. Archaeological findings indicate that humans have existed here since prehistoric times. Batur went through the Gupta dynasty, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Solankis, Sultan of Delhi, and Mughal dynasties, and finally fell into the hands of the Marathi. The history of Vadodara can be traced back to nearly 2000 years ago. Furthermore, the rich history of Vadodara was discovered during the Mughal Empire in 1720. Uttarkashi, known as "Devbhumi" or City of the Gods, still lives up to its name. With many ancient temples and religious sites, Manikarnika Ghat is a paradise for pilgrims.
