History

The Anand district, the name that was inscribed in modern Indian history due to the White Revolution and the development of the largest cooperative, is basically a part of the Hatta district. It wasn't until 1997 that Anand appeared. Therefore, the history of the Anand region is not ancient, but as part of "Charlotta" (another name for the popular Hatta region), it has a very vast and rich heritage. Anand is also called "Charlotte" because it is home to fertile land, the most fertile and best-cultivated soil. Even the dialect spoken by the people who live here is called "Charotari". The word "Charotar" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Charu", which means beautiful. This land is fertile, green, and pleasing to the eye, and is called the Charlotte area.
