History
Dongargarh is a small pilgrim town in Chattisgarh located 35 km from Rajnandangaon. Lying amidst mountains and lush green surroundings, the Dongargarh got the name Dongar meaning Mountains and Garh meaning Fort. The town is famous for the hilltop temple of Maa Baleshwari Temple with many legends associated with the significance of the temple. The nearest airport is at Raipur and the Railway station is Dongargarh Railway Station.
