Chitrakot Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located on the Indravati River in Bastar District, Chhattisgarh State, India. The approximate height of the waterfall is 90 feet. The characteristic of this waterfall is that on rainy days, the water is reddish and looks absolutely white under the moonlight in summer.
The waterfall is 40 kilometers away from Jagdarpur and 273 kilometers away from Raipur. Chitrakote Waterfall is the largest and most flooded waterfall in Chhattisgarh. It is considered the main waterfall of the Bastar division. Due to its proximity to Jagdarpur, it is also known as an important picnic spot. Because of the similar shape of the horse's legs, this water drop is also known as the Niagara of India. Chitrakoot waterfall is very beautiful and tourists like it very much.
